The Kabbalat Shabbat service begins at 6:15pm. After services, the 20/30’s oneg and community onegs start at approx 7:30pm. Please check the night’s schedule for programming, which begins at 8:30pm.

What are the dates of this year’s SYNAPLEX™nights?
SYNAPLEX™services are held on the second Friday of the month between October and May:
October 9, 2009, November 11, 2009, December 11, 2009
January 8, 2010, February 12, 2010, March 12, 2010, April 9, 2010 and May 14, 2010

How long is the service?
A SYNAPLEX™Kabbalat Shabbat service is approximately 75 minutes long (1 hour 15 minutes).

What is there to do?
During the spirited services, we welcome Shabbat with song, with prayer, with learning, and with a 3-piece band.

Do I need to know Hebrew?
No! While portions of the prayers are in Hebrew, our prayerbooks offer translation, transliteration, and alternate suggested readings in English.

Should I RSVP? Is there a fee?
Reservations are not required, and the service and programming are free and open to the public!

Do you offer childcare?
Tot Shabbat programs run from 6-7 on SYNAPLEX™nights for children under six. Children over six may either participate in services or attend the staffed drop-in center from 6:15pm until 9:30pm. Occasionally, there is separate children’s programming announced for a particular night.

I’m in my 20/30’s. What’s available for me?
A separate oneg is held on the 2nd floor after services for attendees in their 20’s and 30’s to mingle and get to know each other.
