Whether Ira is in concert, leading a congregation, or making children laugh, he is dedicated to making the world a happier place. A Theater major from FSU, Ira has appeared on PBS Kids as his alter-persona, Uncle Eye. He was the featured singing storyteller on the nationally syndicated PBS children’s show “Jaker’s! Piggley’s Storyteller’s Playhouse”, singing “Ruby the Rescue Cow”, from his acclaimed CD, Hyperactive Talking Cows. He has performed on both sides of the Atlantic including the Fringe Festival in Scotland, The International Jewish Music Festival in Amsterdam, The Great American Music Hall in SF, Paramount Movie Studios in LA, and as a featured performer for the United Way.
He is currently living in the Hudson Valley with his wife Julia Bordenaro Levin (a member of Vocolot). Together they are The Levins, folkpop duo and World Folk Ensemble. All recordings can be found at www.thelevinsmusic.com and www.uncleeye.com.
