Religious School Registration for the 5771/2010-2011 School Year is Open!
Our formal program for children begins in pre-kindergarten and continues through tenth grade. We are dedicated to learning as a fundamental facet of Jewish life, with Hebrew incorporated into our curriculum from the earliest grades. Our program makes Jewish learning fun and meaningful.
In all grades students benefit from small class sizes and clearly defined learning outcomes, family-oriented activities, social action projects, field trips and programs that build community among the members of our congregation. We will continue to work to ensure that our educational program is exciting, engaging, and challenging. It has been our responsibility to teach children, help teachers work with children, and enable all members of to participate in a multi-layered fabric of adult learning.
On Tuesday, September 7, from 4:30-6:30 PM, please stop in and join us for our Second Annual Religious School Family Open House and Ice Cream Social.
Our school year will begin on Tuesday, September 14th, for fifth through seventh grades and on Wednesday, September 15th, for pre-kindergarten through fourth grade. The EET Teens program (grades eight to ten) will begin in October.

Welcome
Welcome to East End Temple's Religious School
Message from Rabbi David Adelson Spending time with our children at Religious School is one of the most inspiring, fun and optimistic things I do at the Temple. I believe deeply that — as important as it is for our children to learn about Jewish prayers, holidays, culture, and history — what’s most essential for them is the overall experience they have when they’re here. For the kids, Religious School is their Jewish community. How they feel when they are here in Religious School will shape their attitude about being a part of Jewish community for the rest of their lives. That is why we must ensure that our kids feel stimulated, engaged, and, most of all, loved when they are at Temple. Then they will know that there is a reason for them to learn Hebrew and about ways of participating in Jewish life. They will know that everything they study here will help them feel a part of this wonderful, inspiring, caring community all their lives.
